Hi, I’m Chris!
Founder and Head Coach - Summit Fitness and Performance. My mission is to create a community of people who refuse to let aging bodies stop them from playing in the mountains. I will empower them with scientifically-validated, time-tested principles that are highly effective and easy to apply. I want to help you to build strength and stamina for epic bike rides, blower pow days, and big mountain adventures without nagging aches, pains, fatigue, or extra body fat slowing you down.
MY JOURNEY
My Story: How I achieved balancing work, life and maintaining optimal year-round fitness levels that keep me feeling my best in the mountains, and how you can too.
I used to always feel like I was playing catch-up. I'd get in shape, but would lose it as soon as work and/or life changed paces and always found myself trying to make up lost ground.
I felt like I was never where I wanted to be when big snowboarding, mountain biking, hiking, and climbing trips made their way onto my calendar. I was worried I'd slow everyone else down or even worse--wouldn't be able to perform at the level I knew I wanted.
I tried "going HARD" when I had prolonged downtime, but that wasn't sustainable.
What worked was finding the minimal effective dose. Implementing training protocols that I could maintain while in-between seasons, during periods of extended travel (I live out of my car 6 months out of the year traveling), and when work picked up really changed the game.
Now, while I'm certainly not perfect, I feel more equipped to maintain a higher level of year-round fitness.

Most training programs aren’t built for people who want to live in the mountains. They aren’t made for you to get out of the gym in just 45-60 minutes or keeping you all-mountain ready. This science-based approach is unique in that it’s built specifically to keep you feeling your best on the mountain without spending hours in the gym.
Summit Nutrition Roadmap
If you want a pain-free body with lean muscle that performs all day on the mountain, you must fuel accordingly. Nutrition can be confusing and controversial, but our goal is to make nutrition as simple and flexible as possible. Using this mountain athlete protocol, you’ll have a clear understanding of how to eat to maximize your all-mountain performance and lose fat while still being able to enjoy all of your favorite foods and loving life.
Summit Mobility Method
Strong joints and full body endurance for long days in the mountains are just part of the equation—maintaining mobility and your ability to move without restriction is key. Our Summit Mobility Method ensures that you stay mobile and pain-free.
Community
You’ll be placed inside the Summit Training Team for daily accountability, support, messaging, and camaraderie. It’s no secret that the mountains are more fun with your friends—they hype you up when you’re crushing, support you when you fall, and give you the push to go bigger when you need it the most. The same applies to your fitness and nutrition.
